When the battle starts, press A. Then let the computer press a button. (You'll have to remember all attacks to your poke'mon). Then, choose your attack. When both poke'mon attack, you will go first and have a more effective attack. (Note: This won't happen all the time).

I Have created the perfect team to use while challenging someone in two player mode. Rent a Articuno, Golem, Charizard, Vennasaur, Electabuzz, and Alakazam. First start off with Articuno and keep attacking your opponnet with Ice Beam. They will probbally try to defeat it with an electric type. If they succed in winning bring out Golem and kick butt. Next they will try to get him with a water type. Now use Electabuzz. Whoever they choose next will decied who you use depending on types.

Avoid Leech Seed & Confusion

When a Pokemon does leech seed on you or does confuse ray/supersonic/psybeam and confuses you if you have other pokemon, just take out the one that is affected with confusion or leech seed out and put them back in and the confusion/leech seed will go away. (Very useful in Gym Leader Castle)

How To Get Mew And Mewtwo

Get all Pokemon in the hall of fame. Beat all of the poke cups the at the top of the screen. There should then be a Mewtwo cloud and then Mew and Mewtwo will be in rental section.
